The primary foci of the 2011 SICHR workshops will be Contaminants and Human Health (13-14 June, 1.5 days), and Risk Communication (16-17 June, 1.5 days). The workshops will take place at premises of the Institute of Management and Technological Training (POHTO), located by the sea about 4.5 km from the Oulu city centre. Practical information can be found here.
THe SICHR workshops are organised by INCHR, Centre for Arctic Medicine, Thule Institute, and Finnish Graduate School in Toxicology.
The International Network for Circumpolar Health Research (INCHR) annual meeting and scientific sessions will take place in between the courses (14-15 June, 1.5 days).

The workshop fees include participation to INCHR annual meeting.
Travel grants
Nordic PhD students f are entitled to apply for a course travel grant, including registration fees, travel and accommodation costs. The grant also covers free participation to INCHR Annual Meeting.The travel grants and financial support for the courses are provided by NordForsk Top-level Research Initiative “Effect studies and adaptation to climate change”, organized by the Nordic Network “People and Ecosystems in a changing world”.

Cancellation fees
Cancellations earlier than 30 days before the event: no cancellation fee.
Cancellations 7-30 days before the event: 50 % of the registration fee.
Cancellations less than 7 days before the event: 100 % of the registration fee.
A written cancellation by e-mail to riitta.kamula(at)oulu.fi is required. An office fee of 15 € + international bank transfer costs will be charged in addition to the cancellation fee.
